Tom Chapman
Vice President, Sales & Business Development
Tom’s educational background includes a B.S. degree and post-graduate studies in Aviation Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, graduate work in organizational management at Marymount University and a recently completed executive management program at Harvard Business School. He is also a licensed pilot.
Tom brings over 20 years of business aviation experience to Aerospace Concepts and was collectively responsible for more than US$800 million in revenue from aircraft sales. Having begun his career at Gulfstream in 1984 as a Sales Engineer, followed by moves into Completion Sales and later Jet Sales, he was twice recognized as the top sales-producer in the company for Gulfstream IV-SP and Gulfstream V aircraft.
Later, he accepted a management position as Director of Completion Sales & Marketing Support overseeing the company’s expansion of completion sales and interior design sites in Savannah, Long Beach, Brunswick, Dallas, and Appleton with over 30 employees. He successfully led the development and implementation of Gulfstream’s custom-tailored interior specifications and design process with a focus on eliminating errors and reducing completion cycle time.
In 1999, Tom joined Aerospace Concepts to help establish it in the marketplace for completion management of Global Express aircraft. Desiring to gain more business development experience, he joined Bombardier Flexjet in 2003 as Sales Director for New England and Eastern Canada, and was primarily involved with private equity firms while based in Boston.
Tom returned to Aerospace Concepts in 2008 to lead a growing sales team focused on expanding the completion management services for all large-cabin business jets, plus manage the company’s Aircraft Acquisition and Sales services.
